Abhinaya, in Indian aesthetic is a way of transmitting emotion through movement of the body, the face and the voice. Navarasa is the essence of this art. It brings us back to fact that each person can express his or her emotions in their everyday experiences. The word rasa means flavour…the emotion that colours the spirit and nava refers to the emotional state which can be divided into nine states: sringara (erotic), raudra (furious), vira (heroic), bhibatsa (horrible), hasya (comical), karuna (companionate), adbhuta (surprised), bhayanaka (terrifying), shanta (at peace). The movements, whether major or minor of each part of the body are all linked to a significant emotional content. The same is true in the intervals of notes in a melody, the rhythm, the voice and the breath.
How do we embody the emotional colour directed by the vibrations of the voice? How do we feel it and transmit what it holds of universal and sacred? How do we awaken and become in tune with the universe between earth and sky while welcoming pure emotion in its beauty and harmony?

To find the moment or the moments when the vibrations of our voice though out our body brings us joy... this helps you understand your inner nature and improves the relationships you have with the world and with others.
During the workshop, the exercises offered every morning will allow you to experiment with the nine sacred states linked to the relationship between the body and the voice while working with the body, mantras and Indian carnatic songs and dances. Every day will end with a Médita-Son.
